Thomas Smith Group, under its Corporate Social Responsibility program, has collected EUR1,300 funds in aid of Action for Breast Cancer Foundation (ABCF), following its Breast Cancer awareness campaign organised throughout the month of October.
Kevin Borg Degiorgio, Claims Senior Executive at Thomas Smith Insurance Agency, presented the funds on the 31st October to ABCF Committee Member Mary Rose Curmi.
Clients were able to purchase pink wristbands at a minimum donation of EUR1 from Thomas Smith’s Luqa office.
To increase awareness about Breast Cancer, Thomas Smith Insurance Agency helped promote good health and prevention by posting regular health tips on its Facebook page, whilst also reminded both women and men to stay educated and check themselves regularly.
Thomas Smith Group Staff also wore pink on Fridays, as part of the Dress Down Day initiative. Funds collected during the month of October, through the Dress Down Day initiative, were donated to the Action for Breast Cancer Foundation as part of the overall campaign.
The management is pleased with the outcome of this awareness campaign, and hopes to achieve similar interest in future similar corporate social responsibility initiatives. The next CSR event is the Christmas Charity Swim, which will this year be held on Sunday 17th December.
