Thomas Smith Group, under its Corporate Social Responsibility program, has organised a Breast Cancer awareness campaign throughout the month of October. Clients can purchase pink wristbands at a minimum donation of EUR1 from Thomas Smith’s Luqa office, with the aim to raise funds towards the Action for Breast Cancer Foundation.
To increase awareness about Breast Cancer, Thomas Smith Insurance Agency has updated the look of its Facebook page, and aims to help promote good health and prevention by posting regular health tips, and reminding both women and men to get checked, and to stay educated.
Staff will be wearing customised pink wristbands throughout the month of October to raise awareness with walk-ins at the Luqa office, and will in addition be wearing pink during the Dress Down Fridays. Every Friday, the Insurance Agency staff are encouraged to opt for casual clothing instead of the Thomas Smith uniform , with the intent to collect donations from staff, and aid those in need. During the month of October, all Dress Down Day funds will be donated to the Action for Breast Cancer Foundation.
The management is always in pursuit of supporting such causes and will continue to conduct same events in future. The next CSR event, which has marked Malta’s annual calendars, is the Christmas Charity Swim, which will this year be held on Sunday 17th December.
